HOW TO GET THE SENIOR FARE
- Card. Senior fare type set on PRESTO at any Shoppers Drug Mart in York Region or a Customer Service Outlet.
- Proof of age. Travel with valid proof of age; any government-issued identification (or photocopy) is accepted.
ALSO
- Free rides. Fare capping with PRESTO: free after 28 trips in a calendar month for seniors (adults 40, youth 39).
- Companion. Support Person Assistance Card lets a support person travel with the cardholder at no additional cost; on local YRT routes a PRESTO card can pay for a companion (additional adult fares deducted).
- Accessible service. All payment methods are accepted on On-Request and Mobility On-Request Paratransit; the fare chart gives no separate paratransit fare.
